*audiophile is a person who is very interested in and enthusiastic about equipment for playing recorded sound, 

Majority of the luxurious car owners looks to give a little preference to the Audio systems functioning while driving on roads. But there are some owners who do not mind to spend even Rs. 8 Lakh for the Best Quality music they wish to hear while driving their cars on road. As per a below chart, they have thrill, feeling and analytic mind altogether:

In the eyes of a typical Manager responsible for overall Vehicle NVVH refinement, what are 6 main design criteria (for the audio system) need be looked after ?

1. Wider Frequency Response from low to high range

2. Low Distortion

3. High Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR)

4. Wider Dynamic Range of sound amplitudes

5. A balanced sound stage and imaging inside the cabin

6. Equalization (EQ) of peaks & dips in certain frequency range

EQ settings will allow for adjustments to the frequency response to compensate for the acoustics of the car interior, whereas optimal positioning of speakers will decide the right reverberation of the sound needed at the passengers ears!

SNR, which is the ratio of the audio signal to background noise, will rise only when both air-borne & structure borne components of the cabin-noise due to power-train, tyre-road, wind, driveline, auxiliary units, etc. are reduced to minimum possible.

Hence, for car-owners who are enthusiastic about the quality of their audio systems, the NVH Managers need to take more efforts to refine their power-trains, improve their body sealing -- with the best acoustic trims, provide softer suspension bushes, precision gearing &higher vibration damping of panels, right ?
